Arkansas Music Educators Convention Update

I just wanted to update everyone about the Arkansas Music Educators Convention that I just returned from. The convention was great and we had a huge turnout! Our booth was a popular place for everyone at the convention! Our lollipop fundraiser and popcorn fundraiser were a huge hit with everyone who was able to sample our products. I met so many wonderful individuals at the convention! The more conventions I attend and exhibit, the more I am able to truly understand your needs for fundraising. To hear about your desires to take your students to Washington D.C, New York, etc, are exciting to me! I love to hear teachers talk about wanting to show their students different places, and be able to take them on trips to learn new things. I always want to be available to anyone and everyone who needs help with fundraising, or choosing a product to use to fund raise. I am always here to help, in any way I can. The more stories I hear about your intentions with fundraising, the more excited I get. I want to be a part in helping make trips and competitions real to you and your students. Please don’t ever hesitate to give us a call, or shoot us an email. We are ALWAYS here to help, and truly love being able to help you all raise the funds you need to make these trips possible for your students. Whether you have an upcoming trip now, or in the future, give us a call today, to get started planning for your next successful fundraiser!

Kansas State Budget Cuts, Fundraising Can Help

I’m not sure if the rest of the country is dealing with the the same state budget cuts, but we sure are feeling it here in Kansas. I am truly concerned for our schools, and our kids future, with these recommendations to cut our kids grant funds. I am going to do everything in my power, as a mother and a concerned resident, to help our schools raise as much money as possible, in hopes that we won’t feel the effects of these proposed budget cuts. Yes, I know in our current economic climate, we are feeling a lot of reluctance from the community to participate in our fundraising efforts, but more so than not, I’ve found that the majority of business owners, parents and family members are ALWAYS willing to help support their kids in raising money for their school. We all have needs, but we are all aware that our kids are our future firefighters, police officers, doctors, lawyers, etc. We must make sure that we are doing everything in our power to provide the best curriculum, environment and teachers for our children to become the best they can be. School is the single most important expense for our children’s future as well as our future. Though they may argue with you every morning about not wanting to go, they truly do enjoy the interaction with other kids their age, and learning new things in school. It is up to us parents, family members and local community to make sure we are supporting our local schools by helping provide safe playground equipment, up to date technology for learning, transportation, and a curriculum for all kids to comprehend. The government may be cutting back state funding for our schools, but we still have the power to help make a difference in our schools. It’s clear to me that fundraising for our schools is something that will never go away, regardless of how much you might want it to. Help your school, PTO, PTA or Booster Club by presenting new, exciting fundraising ideas to help raise much needed funds for your school. The sooner you get started planning your next year’s fundraisers, the more successful they will be. Browse our site for easy, painless fundraising ideas, and please feel free to give us a call if you need help raising funds for your school. We are always here to help you.

Valentine’s day fast facts.
Saint Valentine’s Day, held on February 14th is a celebration of love and affection between companions. The day is named for an early Christian martyr named Valentine and was created by Pope Gelasius I around 500 AD. It was removed from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969 by Pope Paul VI, but its religious observance is still allowed. It is traditionally a day on which couples express their love for each other by the giving of flowers, confectionery and greeting cards; known as “valentines”.

First fundraising tips of 2011

Getting to meet and speak with groups, school boards, PTOs and PTAs has definitely opened my eyes to the struggles you all face on your side of fundraising. The most common problem I have heard about is organization! Everybody wants to raise the money, but not enough people volunteer for the hard work. Distributing products from a catalog fundraiser can be challenging if not prepared correctly. In order to keep the school from breaking out in a mad, black Friday kind of rush, plan AHEAD for your next fundraiser.

Set up your fundraiser dates to coincide with your parent teacher conferences. Distributing products during a parent teacher conference seems to make the most sense! School is out, and you will already have a set appointment with each students parent. The less stress for all of you, the better. If the distribution is the worst part for you, just don’t do it alone! Like I recently told a school board, “give me a call when you are ready to distribute your Big Dog Fundraising items, and I will be more than happy to help.” If that means I come to your school and help with this process, then that’s just what I will do. At Big Dog Fundraising, we are dedicated to helping you meet and exceed your fundraising goals, along with making your experience with Big Dog Fundraising the most pleasant fundraising experience you have had! If you have any additional tips, concerns or questions; talk to us! We love hearing from you. Hearing your struggles only helps us help you; we can help turn your struggles into success! Remember, it’s ALL in the bag with Big Dog Fundraising!

First Trip of the year

2011 is already turning out to be a great year for Big Dog Fundraising! Last week I traveled to Fort Smith, AR, and it turned out to be quite a trip! I was able to meet with a school in Mountainburg, AR, and had a great visit. From Mountainburg, I went to Fort Smith to finish up a discount card fundraiser for a soccer club. I hit the ground running, and was able to finish up the discount card with 20 ads. I can’t wait to see the end results of this discount card for the soccer club!

Working for schools and organizations is extremely rewarding. In my recent travels, I have gotten to meet so many different people. I’ve seen a lot of new places, and have had an amazing time on the road. I absolutely love the drive from Kansas to Arkansas. Any chance I get to see more of our beautiful country, the happier I am. So, WHEREVER you are, if you are needing to raise funds fast, and aren’t quite sure how to do it or what to do, give us a call today. Fundraising should be fun, and we are here to help make your next fundraising experience pleasant and successful. Call us today at :866-582-3597, or you can always call me directly at: 620-644-8606. We look forward to hearing from you!

January fundraiser update

Fundraisers are happening fast and furiously for our clients as they take advantage of our numerous ways to raise funds for their respective organizations.  Specifically we have a discount card fundraiser in progress for a Chamber of Commerce in St. Louis, and another discount card preparing to kick off for an elementary school in St. Louis.  There are sunglasses, jewelry and yard signs being sold for a high school near Columbia, MO, and another discount card for an elementary school in extreme northeastern Missouri.  Furthermore, we certainly wouldn’t want to forget our church youth group friends in Kansas City who will be starting their discount card sales at the end of January.  We have inquiries and potential projects from California to Illinois and are excited about our new website and our ability to assist clients in quickly and efficiently setting up their own fundraisers.  Take a few minutes to browse our new site.  We will also be adding additional documents and other tools to allow those that do business with us the luxury of clicking a few buttons; and be running their fundraiser as soon as…..tomorrow!   Don’t hesitate to email or call to discuss your specific situation.  Our strength is our 35 year background in printing that allows us to custom tailor a solution to your circumstances.  Have a great 2011 and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Our latest addition, Scratch Off Fundraiser

The newest addition to our expansive lineup of fundraisers is the scratchcard. These scratch cards put the “fun” in fundraising. These cards offer our largest margin of profit for you! The concept is quite simple:

  • Each card has 40 scratch off dots.
  • Each dot has a value of $1, $2, or $3.
  • Each card totals to $100 in value.
  • You ask someone to scratch of at least one or two dots at a time and donate the amount shown. If someone scratches off two dots, the maximum donation is $6 dollars.

The idea is that the amounts are low enough that it won’t put any pressure on the donor’s wallet. Also, you aren’t selling anything. Once the person scratches the dots and gives the amount shown, you’re done. There is no having to wait for the order to come in and then delivering the product. The scratcher cards are fun for everyone!
